Yo, watz goin down in yo h00d ppl?

Or not. It's the weekend and you all know what that means. Or maybe not all, it means work is over. The site is done, it's up, it's not live yet so I won't tell you all where it is (let alone who it's for...) I'm feeling pretty good.

Boorman was right, FLCL is good, but wierd. Very wierd, though strangly ammusing and funny at the same time. It's no eva, but in some aspects it's much better. The cross between manga and anime is ammusing (though difficult to follow at times). Once I saw the hospital jumping around and then getting wringed out in episode 2 I was hooked. I watched all 6 episodes straight. The last one was 30 mins long.

New poll, I want the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, cause time is running short on this one. Decision day is Monday. I still haven't found my magic 8 ball.

Both Uwalan and SWGN are full. (344 per day and 70 people respectively).

UWALAN is approaching. I am running the quake 3 tournament. It is going to happen the Sunday Afternoon (1pm I hope). I am still coding my tournament server manager. The stats engine will probably not be done before the uwalan, but hopefully for the swgn it will be. I'm arranging sleeping places for people, and it's getting kinda tight.

I've been working a metric shitload lately, they want the site before the end of the financial year, and IIS is not my web server of choice. IIS fails to do xSSI tags properly, it trys but falls in a heap, so I've got to ASPise the site, bugger. Many of you may already know how fond of ASP I've become...

My parents are in Darwin now. I bought Cat food and milk yesterday. I skulled a 2L coke (not very cold either) at lunch (which was at about 1500 hours). I'm thinking of doing the IBM Deskstar raid array thang soon. I'm thinking the camcorder can wait a month or two more. Yes, the cash is rolling in right now. Having a job kicks ass!

Firstly I had an examination in the subject of Interactive Web Development this morning. 2 hours total, I left after about 1 hour 30 minutes, because I had finished. I think I did really well, as it was mostly the sample exam which I did the day before.

The other thing I achieved today is I fineally got my PCMCIA floppy disk drive working on my laptop in linux. So far so good, now all I need to do is make some boot disks and away we go.

Also in recent history, Ryan Bilsby (my boss) won another small business award / young achiever of the year award or something, not quite sure which, but he's got a big framed certificate to show for it.

As I type this, I've managed to suck down 92% of this 300 meg CD Image ... should be done sometime tonight, which isn't bad considering I started yesterday, this could be achievement number 3 for today ...

Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 episode 6 tomorrow night, gotta move capture card to burner box tonight and prep it for delayed capture (macros do have a use after all). The cupboard is getting bare, I'd better go shopping monday or I may be starting a rather severe diet. Perhaps I should move my computer closer to the fridge. Also I got another cheque in the mail today, another one of these gee your still at uni type cheques from scholarship groups. If only the post office worked on Saturday, I'd probably get a You've won second division in Saturday Lotto, here's your cheque for $44,000 (doesn't everyone have a lotto registration card yet? (hint, they tell you when you win, so you don't need to check the ticket, but you need to keep it in case you win 3rd division or higher)) Not that I condone gambling of course, just make sure you don't gamble instead of eating or buying computer hardware, you've gotta be able to survive. Poot!

Fear not, I'm not without anything to download. I found a 300 meg cd image on SGI's site that I'm getting. It lets you install The Red Hat release 7.1 with SGI's XFS filesystem (the one used by IRIX, it journals, it's 64 bit, its been in use since 1995, it slices it dices (hopefully not files)).

Garbs pointed me here to look for info on region 4 dvd's. Very good site. Only problem with it is you see so many movies that you wouldn't mind getting except most are $39.95 which sux0rs down hard. I now own the South Park dvd, I got it at Target for $22

I keep finding that strange people's sites continue to load in my web browser. An old but good one I recently found again: http://www.iwantedthelongestdomainnameintheworldandthisisaprettygoodone.com. A genuine 64 character .com domain.
